TS-2V2 Try Square (Metric Graduations)

Regular price $93.99 $79.99 Sale

Milled from solid aluminum, the TS-2v2 represents a new way to make a precision square.  The handle is comprised of two pieces that are mirror images of each other.  When fastened together, they create a secure foundation for the stainless steel blade.  The blade is 38 mm wide (1.5") and has laser etched metric mm and cm graduations up to 200 mm (8").  The blade is also pierced with an 8:1 profile which can be used for dovetail layouts.

After all these years of making squares, BCT has learned a few things along the way.  When a square has an unplanned trip to the floor, the corners of the blade often become deformed.  The TS-2v2 features rounded corners that prevent this flaring if the tool is dropped.  The square comes factory calibrated to an accuracy of ±0.05 mm (±0.002") along the entire length of the blade, which is a much higher accuracy than standard engineers squares which are typically allowed as much as ±0.025 mm (±0.001") per 25.4 mm (1") of blade length. However the blade can be easily field adjusted should it ever go out of square.

The handle is designed to fit your hand like no other square.  The handle is 119 mm (4.7") long, 41 mm (1.6") wide and 16 mm (0.0625") thick.  The combination of aluminum handle, stainless steel screws, and stainless steel blade means that rust is not a concern for this tool, unlike steel engineers squares.
