These butt chisels are made by Narex in the Czech Republic and are an exceptional value for the price. The blades are made from fine-grained, chrome-manganese steel and hardened to Rc 59, and hold an excellent edge.
They are ground with a 25° primary bevel angle and have relatively narrow lands (edges). The handles are stained beech, have a flat on the back to prevent rolling, and solid brass ferrules providing reinforcement around the tang entry.
The blades are about 95 mm (3-3/4") long and the total chisel length is about 170 mm (6.7"), and they are available in 6 mm , 12 mm, 20 mm and 26 mm widths.
