Shinwa T-2 Inspection Loupe with 10X Magnification

This magnifying inspection loupe from Shinwa Japan has 10X Magnification which is a good range for inspecting the edges of hand tools when sharpening.  It is also very useful in verifying the fiber direction before planing as occasionally the fiber direction can be different from the apparent grain direction. 

It has a diameter of 28 mm and the bottom half is clear acrylic which gives good illumination when the loupe is placed down on a surface.  The focus can be adjusted by turning the black ABS ring and there is a 10 mm square opening with length markings which allow measurements to be made optically.
