We developed these dovetail markers as an economical solution for having a saddle square and multiple dovetail angles available in one square, while also extending the length capacity beyond most other markers. We get these waterjet cut from 316 stainless steel plate to keep their cost reasonable, so the edges aren't mirror polished, but are accurate and more than refined enough for marking out dovetails.
They are available in six different configurations, including three different angle combinations and two saddle square lengths:
1:4 1:5 1:7 and 60 mm (2.36") long saddle square,
1:4 1:7 1:8 and 60 mm (2.36") long saddle square,
1:6 1:7 1:8 and 60 mm (2.36") long saddle square,
1:4 1:5 1:7 and 90 mm (3.5") extra long saddle square,
1:4 1:7 1:8 and 90 mm (3.5") extra long saddle square,
1:6 1:7 1:8 and 90 mm (3.5") extra long saddle square
The dovetail marking length capacity ranges from 34 mm (1.375") on the low end inside 1:4 ratio, up to 50 mm (1.96") for the outer angles.
