Narex Chisels are made in the Czech Republic and are an exceptional value for the price. The blades are made from fine-grained, chrome-manganese steel and hardened to HRC 59, and hold an excellent edge. They are accurately ground and the edges are tapered to a narrower land than standard bench chisels.
These crank-neck paring chisels have the neck bent at about a 30° angle which offsets the handle and allows the chisel to access hard to reach places where other chisels can't be used. They are also perfect for flush trimming where they can be used in a similar manner to a flushing chisel or chisel plane.
Bevels are ground at a 25 degree angle. Handles are stained Hornbeam and the blades are held in the handles with steel tangs and solid brass ferrules.
